This week I began to start thinking of the actual fabrics and textures that would relate across and link to the medical materials that I had collected.

Using a selection of cotton bandages / elasto plasters / gauze / medical packaging and string I created a series of weaves to experiment and find out how they reacted in the different weave mixes.

From this I then photographed them and copied onto paper which I enlarged and shrunk down and experimented in overlaying on muse images to give an idea of how they could be seen as garment materials. Alongside this I also created a series of digital images using Photoshop to take this a little further.

My next stage from this I began to add my own additions to the Photoshop images with hand drawn shapes taken from the weaves in ink and pastels onto tracing paper.
